《ESPN》昨天搶先確認，「小皇帝」詹姆斯即將放棄執行最後1年2160萬美元合約，美國時間7月1日成為自由球員，這是他最近6年第3次這麼做，但他不會跟其他球隊接觸，續留克里夫蘭跟騎士續約機會很大。
不同過去兩次跳出合約，這次詹姆斯無須再做「決定」，他先監督騎士補強與留人情況，然後跟騎士簽下「1＋1」合約，平均年薪約在2200萬美元，如此一來，他明年暑假可以再成自由球員，然後追求更高薪的長約。
詹姆斯當前最擔心的是騎士的「留人」態勢，特別是尚未確定去留的洛夫，詹姆斯昨天還跟洛夫在游泳池畔相聚被拍到，證明他也希望洛夫留下，騎士打算開出5年1.1億美元合約，就看洛夫能否接受。
快艇中鋒狄安卓喬丹的去向則又生變化，儘管快艇全力慰留，喬丹卻跟小牛談判進展順利，主因出在「高富帥」帕森斯，除了因為兩人同屬1名經紀人，帕森斯最近更都待在喬丹身邊，看來人情攻勢效果不錯。
